Mixed Florals Thank you Card

 January...also known as "the dead of winter."  Due to me being so cold natured, I do not enjoy the winter months.  And even though I live in the southern part of North Carolina, it still gets very cold here during this time of the year.  

With that being said, I am so ready for the cold to be gone and welcome in Spring and warmer temperatures.  In today's card, a thank you card, I brought in some spring colors with a hint of Easter colors.  I always love lavender & yellow so choosing Daffodil Delight with Highland Heather give that spring & Easter vibe.

The first card is the one we made on the video and the second image is the inside.  The bottom card is the phototype that started me on my journey with this design.

Birthday Celebration Featuring Wildflower Birthday DSP

 We are always in need of birthday cards and every now and then we need one that is extra special for that one person in your life that you want to know just how special they are to you.  Well I have the card for you.  This is a larger card than our normal 4.5 x 5.5.  This is a 5" x 7" card that makes a statement.  With the stepper tiers and the unlimited possibilities in decorating this one, you can go small or you can go big with how elaborate you decorate.

You don't need any dies to make this beauty.  Just cardstock, DSP, glue and a paper trimmer.  I have included a pdf tutorial with all the measurements and products I used.

Chicken Soup for Body & Soul

 It's cold and miserable outside!  Perhaps you have snow on the ground, or icesicles hanging on your house.  Maybe you live in the south like me and are experiencing the Polor Vortex and let's face it, you need something hot to eat.  Well, I have you covered with this delicious pot of homemade chicken soup.  

This soup would be great as a gift to a family member who maybe down with a cold or flu.  Or just for your family on a cold winter night.

It is hearty and filled with good things to make you feel better like ginger, tumeric, garlic and onions.  It also has orzo instead of rice.

How to build-Construct the Book Treat Box using Thick 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock

 I showed you how to decorate this cute little box in our last video/blog post.  But I thought about how I could bring you the instructions on how to make the box and here it is.

Mexican Monday-Pico De Gallo-Homemade Taco Seasoning

 

Who doesn't love a good Mexican Taco Salad with a side of fresh Pico.  If you're not familar with Pico De Gallo, let me introduce you to this yummy fresh made salsa.  It is brimming with lots of fresh flavors that will remind you of your favorite Mexican Restaurant.  But you can do this at home for a fraction of the cost and just between you and me, it taste even better than what you get at the restaurant.

Peace & Joy is something we think about at Christmas but in reality we all want peace and joy all year long.  The true peace & joy came to us over 2000 years ago in the form of a baby boy named Jesus and still today HE is our only hope for true peace and joy.  

This card is a fun card with an unusal fold that incorporated different techniques that creates a cute and fun card.  It is my hope that this card will bring you a little joy as you put together the elements of Christmas.  Pull out your stamps & dies and just start creating and see what you come up with.  It is so much fun to just let go and CREATE.

You may ask, what is the southern way.  Well, that's pretty simple...from scratch and baked in a cast iron pan.  Nothing screams southern like homemade biscuits hot out of the oven.

This recipe is a no-fail means to a light and fluffy biscuits.
