Many times there are certain things that brings fear to our heart and it usually is because we just don't have the tools to deal with the situation. Well making a shaker card does NOT have to be a fear any longer.
I have put together an easy and informative video and pdf that should help you feel confident in making any size or shape shaker card.

Are you feeling the nip in the air yet. I most definitely have here in the Carolinas. I never thought I would be thinking of turning on my heat but it has crossed my mind a few times the last couple of days.
It's that time of year when the thought of a roaring fire, cup of hot tea, warm sweet cocoa or hot apple cider is just totally comforting.
Fall makes me want to put on a big pot of soup, stew or chili or how about some comfort food like
Chicken n' Dumplins'?
I was in a bit of a fall mood when I made this gorgeous card. I love the colors and the ALL ABOUT AUTUMN DSP is perfect for the beauty of fall and the colors in this paper blends so well with a fall pallet.

As I was playing around with this bundle, I found myself really embracing the snowflake wreath but as I continued with my creating I found that any wreath made with this gorgeous bundle was a winner.
I will revisit the Christmas Tree Wreath in the coming weeks. I think it too will be just as gorgeous. Wreaths are our way of showing our friends, neighbors & guest that we are celebrating a season, holiday or occasion. And it is a welcoming symbol into our home.

This card really speaks to me and I am grateful to have seen it on YouTube. I did not create this card but rather cased it from another YouTuber. Thank you Mary for your creativity in making this card. It is stunning and I am thrilled to show all of you have to make this card. I did make a couple of different changes on mine just to make it mine but no matter what you do to this card it just screams NATIVITY which is why we celebrate this wonderful holiday we call CHRISTmas.

I decided to case a birthday card from the catalog today. It was fun, but not perfect. I normally do a proto-type and that helps me work out the kinks and with this card I now see where I could improve it. I wanted it to be a shaker card and that was definitely a fail, but all in all the card turned out cute.

Awww, it's that wonderful time of year when the air becomes cooler, the trees are abloom with an array of gorgeous fall colors and the horizon is painted with all those gorgeous colors as well.
It's also a time to reflect on how thankful we are for all the blessings in our life. What do you have to be thankful for today?

When you think of Christmas, what comes to mind first? Is it the decorating, the parties, the church plays and cantatas? Is it the baking of endless goodies that only come around once a year, the gathering of friends & family, is it the shopping, finding that perfect gift for your loved ones?
When I think of Christmas, my mind goes straight to Jesus!! This is why we celebrate. "CHRIST"mas. It is the birth of our blessed Savior. The Light of the world, God in the FLESH. He came, born of a virgin to bring life & light to a hopeless world.
O Holy Night has always been my most favorite hymn because it despites that Holy Night when Christ was born. I hope that this card brings this precious night to mind for you.

Awwww...do you smell the winter chill, the soft quiet of a fresh snow.....WHAT??? NO??? I know, I know, it's close to 100º outside but you know what??? Soon we will be bundled up, threats of the white stuff, sipping on hot cocoa and dreaming of spring. LOL
Today's card gives us a glimpse of old man winter at his best. Snowflake embellishments, blankets covering us in a horse driven sleigh....so romantic.
For me each season offers a beauty of its own and winter is no different. So let's embrace the beauty of winter and live for the moment.
We had lots of fun today in this Live Event. I think the change in times has been wonderful and I hope everyone is enjoying the new time as well.
Stars are Shining was our featured bundle in making our card today. But the star of the show is the Holographic Specialty Paper that is in our Annual Catalog. It lend that perfect touch to the stars with the way it catches the light.
Have you ever questioned just what the word NOEL means. Well, I have and after making this card, I wanted to know the origin of the word as well as what it exactly means for us today.
Webster says this:
English speakers borrowed the word noel from French. It can be traced further back to the Latin word natalis, which can mean "birthday" as a noun or "of or relating to birth" as an adjective. (The English adjective natal has the same meaning and is also an offspring of natalis.) Noels were being sung in Latin or French for centuries before English-speakers started using the word to refer to Christmas carols in the 18th century. An early use of noel (spelled nowell) to mean "Christmas" can be found in the text of the late 14th-century Arthurian legend Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
So in essences, it means Christmas, birthday, natal. For us, we celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!
I always find it interesting to find the meaning of words that we use & sing but never really know the true meaning. So next time you are perplexed by the meaning of a word, go and look it up. We all have technology in our hands (ex. smartphone).
If you are interested in purchasing any of the Stampin' Up products used today, many of them are available in the Annual Catalog but most will be in the mini catalog which will premier on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Refer back to my blog for further details.
Everyone has been busy making the quilt cards. I wanted to try my hand at the herringbone quilt card. I decided to do mine a little different by cutting my strips a bit smaller and laying out a pattern for my pieces to follow.
These cards really did turn out beautiful and I am pleased with them. If you are interested in any of the Designer Series Paper I used or any other supplies, click here to go to my online store. Your business is much appreciated.
Are you ready for FALL? If you live in the south I am sure you will answer, YES!! A hundred times YES. We live in climates everywhere these days where the heat & humidity make it unbearable for most of us. I know that many of us are spoiled by central air and we have become accustomed to a steady temperature year round.
But still, we long for bulky sweaters, hot cocoa, the smell of hay, long walks under a canopy of God's beautiful artistry of golds, reds, browns, yellow & green. Roasting marshmallows over an open fire....well you get the picture. Many of us long for a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks or starting a roaring fire in the fireplace. Whatever your dream of fall is, it is the reprieve from the summer heat.
Today's card gives us a glimpse into the fall we all long for. And I had so much fun making these cards. If you are interested in the items used in today's feature...you will have to wait until September 6, 2023 when our mini catalog goes live.

We all have them, we rarely know what to do with them, but now you have the instructions to help you use all of those left over pieces from your DSP. Most of the small pieces left over in our 6" x 6" packs are less likely to get used. But now you can find homes for these left-over pieces. Just cut them down and glue them to the front panel of cards.
In this tutorial you will find the instructions for breaking these unused pieces into useful designs for making beautiful card fronts.
