Are you ever confused about what ink to use for a certain project or technique? I think most of us can answer yes to that question.
I am going to attempt to clear up a bit of the confusion today with another installment in my ongoing series titled "I didn't' know I needed to know that."
I will discuss the 4 basic types of ink and I have a pdf for you that will explain each ink and what they can do and when to use them.

Every now and then you stumble across a stamp that is so different, so elegant, so stunning and yet you can't seem to find a way to bring it to it's true potential. That happened to me with the Pretty Medallion Stamp. But I wasn't going to give up. I did my research (I do a lot of that) and I came up with the perfect way to feature this stamp as a focal point on a card. HEAT EMBOSS IT!!
Along with some ink blending using two shades of blue and going from light to dark, giving the ombre effect, I think I nailed it.
Would this be a card you would want to give to someone and the possiblities are endless!!

Awwww....these dies are to die for, (pardon the pun). But I have to say that this set has endless possibilities. I love a bundle that is so versible like this one. I can't wait for you to see how I use it next. But for now you have this one. Isn't it the cutest?
Do you remember the beautiful sampler frames that were all the rage back in the 1970's? I took a spin from that era in making these two cards. Each of them are quite different but both are charming and easy to fall in love with.

Have you ever looked at a set or collection in the catalog and said, "nah" and kept on going without giving it another thought? I'm sure you have just as I have done many times. That was true with Desert Details. I thought I would never find use for a southwest themed collection, I mean I'm a southern girl from the east. If it had happened to be magnolias or a young lady sipping sweet ice tea on the porch on a hot summer day, then perhaps I would have chosen it first.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you so much for all the warm wishes, words of comfort, prayers, (especially the prayers) that all of you have shown for myself and my husband while we have been hit with Covid-19. As I posted on my personal FB Wall...."it ain't for sissys."
I am so thankful that it didn't hit my husband as hard as it did me. He had to be home due to the fact that he tested positive but his symptoms have been very mild in comparison to mine. Therefore he was here to look after me when I couldn't look after myself. But the good news is....I am feeling better. Still very week, finding myself having to nap during the day, still experiencing weekness, aches and pains with fever on and off. But I do believe the worst is over and now I can concentrate on getting back to doing what I love and enjoy the wonderful life that God has given me.
Please look forward to a video that I will have up on Tuesday and I am trying to prepare somethings for next week to get back to my normal schedule.
In the meantime, if you would watch some of my older videos that would help greatly in keeping my status current with YouTube. All of your love and support has meant the world to me and my family!!
