Legal Pad Folio with Expanding File Folder

 I absolutely love making projects that are super fun to make, super useful to use, and great gifts to give to others.  I think this project is just that.  

We have all seen legal pad holders that are super cute and very useful but with this one it goes a step further with an expanding file folder built in.  Not only useful but it is so easy to make and I'll show you how in my Video Tutorial Below.

Flight and Airy DSP meets Thoughtful Expressions Bundle

 Once again I find myself drawn to the Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper.  I'm not sure if it's the soft, soothing colors, the sweet little birds, the delicate florals or all of the above.  It really does speak to my soft side and brings me a peace as only "color" can.

It also lends itself to the soft pastels of Boho Blue & Bubble Bath cardstock.  Adding the gold accent on the front of the card seems to bring in a bit of elegance as well.

 For this change of color combination I turned to my Color Coach from Stampin' Up to help me find different colors that go together that you wouldn't think would pair well.  As you can see the Old Olive is beautiful paired with Pool Party and once again I used Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set and it is absolutely elegant and as the stamp's name it's sophisticated.

Bee My Valentine featuring Heartfelt Hellos Sale-A-Bration stamp set

 

I hope you fall in love with this card as much as I have.  I cased this card from my upline, Brandy Cox.  I did change the colors a bit and the embellishments but I got this directly from my sweet girl Brandy.

This card was so much fun to make and showcases that cute little bee.  This is so much more than a Valentine card.  You could use it for a thinking of you, thank you, get well, happy birthday and the list goes on and on.

Here is a sampling of what I did with this gorgeous layout.  Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be just  Christmas papers but any that you have.  Everything is done with 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" strips.  How easy is that?

 Stampin' Up did it again!!  They gave us the cutest little bumblebee stamp and a builder punch that allows you to be so creative with your stampin' and cardmaking abilities.

I borrowed my color scheme from the DSP in designing this card and I love the way it turned out.  I did one in portrait and one in landscape.  This is a simple card with no frills but yet it is stinkin' cute and I believe anyone would love to receive this one.

You don't have to stress about it, make your own DSP.  If you have stamps, ink & cardstock, you're in business.

The picture does not do these cards justice.  They are stunning in person.  The silver heat embossing along with the white embossing on the Night of Navy cardstock lends an air of elegance all the while delivering the true message of Christmas.
